Hindsight 1.0
A blindspot monitor for cyclists
-
Hindsight uses a camera-based object detection system.
Most blindspot monitors use radar or sonar, which can lead to inconsistencies in dynamic situations and frequent false positives.
Hindsight’s camera actually "sees" what's going on behind you and helps keep you safe.
-
Mount it on any bike!
Designed to align with any standard GoPro mounting system, there’s basically no limit to where you can put it.
Road bikes, e-bikes, mountain bikes…even scooters. We have a solution for you.
-
In addition to monitoring your blindspots, Hindsight works like a dashcam too.
With continuous internal recording, you’ll have video proof of any incidents that occur while riding.
Watch our first prototype in action
We put our concept to the test. This is an early 3D printed model we used to test our AI system’s functionality. We are currently finalizing the designs for a market-ready version with improved features and user-friendly design.
Features
-
Our flagship camera unit has an onboard object detection system that draws accuracy from proprietary machine learning training.
It sports a 160* field of vision and is capable of 15 detections per second.
We've trained TESS Camera v1 to detect all the things you might be worried about on the road, such as cars, trucks, and other bikes.
-
The unit is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, providing up to 6 hours of continuous run time.
You can charge the unit with any USB-C cable.
-
When an object approaches in your blindspot, the camera sends a signal wirelessly to the handlebar mounted display screen that shows you:
(a) where it’s approaching from
(b) what kind of object it is
These are connected via bluetooth, and sync automatically when you power your monitor on.
